Amyet S8 vs ?

Still looking for my first ebike, and still leaning towards the Amyet S8. Wondering if there's anything better in the price range that can actually compare with power? I've considered the Ridstar Q20 Pro but that uses proprietary brakes and the system to turn on/off the motors is just absolutely stupid to me - especially when I have a scooter that uses the exact same switch but it controls headlights instead of the front motor.

I won't be using this as a traditional bike but I don't want it to be ridiculously uncomfortable to use pedal assist, if possible. I'll mostly just be using it for the throttle only, and I assume my fiance will be using it the same. I have a Yume Hawk Pro and I ride that all over my city, love the milage and speed. She was using a little Hiboy scooter but I think she'd be far more comfortable on a bike.

I'm aware that the Amyet will come with some caveats, it's a Chinese drop ship brand and probably doesn't have much customer/warranty support The components are going to be inferior. No key for startup. Generic battery cells. But it also seems to be easily upgradable, most electronic parts are compatible with other brands, even the batteries and motors, and it seems to use a standard sizes for bike parts. It's also about $1000 total for a dual 1000w motors on an ebike with a REMOVABLE 25ah 48v battery, full suspension and possibly over 35mph (after P settings tweaked).

So is there anything under $1500 (taxes and shipping included) that at least comes close to all those points? The distance and speed are the most important to me.
